Why join GWC in Malawi

Malawi is a beautiful country with the alluring dreamy Lake Malawi being its high point. It is blessed with unique combination of breathtaking painting like scenery and terrains, wildlife pensive lakes and intriguing mountains. The rich culture and options of venturing with varied activities like hiking, boat activities and water sports, best freshwater diving, trekking and mountain biking makes it one of the favored destinations. Some of the most prominent places other than the Malawi lake, a must visit includes Liwonde National Park, the heights of Mount Mulanje, the hiking routes, the dramatic peaks and the grasslands and many more. But the images of charm and beauty is marred with the ever rising number of HIV/AIDS and related deaths, hunger, gender inequality, lack of quality health care, lack of awareness and education and unemployment has pushed the innocent people in profound poverty. Government alone is not able to arrest the situation and look up to non profit organizations for help.

GWC is introducing its work camping programs in different remote villages and towns for the welfare of the local people by involving the youth. We believe youth has the fire and power to bring in change. You will get to make friends with like minded co participants. Every volunteer will be working in teams with other international volunteers, who will be from different ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. Volunteers will help in tree plantation and environmental conservation, painting and drawing, may help build school in remote villages or take part in environmental education or provide an English-based educational resource for suffering illiterate people. If you have a yearning to help needy poor people, promote sustainable advancement, and conserve wild heritage, if you would like to be involved in creating a brighter future for these less privileged people and their amazing plants, animals, and ecosystems, then you must join hands with GWC. After every work camping project, GWC can arrange different trips for its volunteers who would love to work camp, travel and explore beautiful sites of Malawi. We believe in having fun and unwinding after days of hard work and philanthropy. By joining the GWC Programme, you WILL make certain differences to the development and conservation of this exceptional and unusual country.
