Uganda

Uganda the Pearl of Africa, is a blessed country with incredible natural view and a rich medley of tribes and cultures. Traveling through Uganda, the visitors will be enthralled by its beauty, safety and easy accessibility. The easiness of Ugandans and the country’s landscape are outstanding. It is one of the most tempting nations in Africa. Ecologically, Uganda is where the East African savannah meets the West African jungle. You have a host of activities to choose from. You will get to observe majestic lions prowling in the open plains, see the chimpanzees in the forest area, experience the tropical channels teeming with hippos and deadly crocodiles, and enjoy the serene beauty of Mt. Gorillas, besides you can go canoeing, enjoy bird watching and water rafting and much more. Among the known attractions are Kasubi Royal Tombs, Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru Caves, Nyero Rock Paintings, Baker’s Fort, Bigo bya Mugenyi, Mparo Tombs, Ssezibwa falls, Murchison Falls , Semliki National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, and Mount Elgon National Park. On the other side of the beauty is the struggle of survival put up by its people. The issue that poor people are left to deal with is HIV/AIDS and includes most common ailments like prenatal and maternal conditions, malaria, pneumonia, and diarrhea. Other major issues are gender in equality, rising number of orphans resulting from HIV/AIDS and unemployment.

In order to help the local poor people of Uganda cope with above issues GWC has initiated some very effective and learning projects implemented through its young and energetic volunteers. We believe in the power and energy of youth who is capable of bringing in the much needed change. Every volunteer will be working in teams with other international volunteers, who will be from different ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. Volunteers may help build school in remote villages or take part in environmental education or provide an English-based educational resource for the needy. If you have a yearning to help needy poor people, promote sustainable advancement, and conserve wildlife and wild lands in Uganda, if you would like to be involved in creating a brighter future for the country and their amazing plants, animals, and ecosystems, then you must join hands with GWC. After every work camping project, GWC can arrange different trips for its volunteers who would love to
work camp, travel and explore beautiful sites of Uganda. Join GWC and help transform a suffering life to a better living!

Malawi

Malawi is a beautiful country with the alluring dreamy Lake Malawi being its high point. It is blessed with unique combination of breathtaking painting like scenery and terrains, wildlife pensive lakes and intriguing mountains. The rich culture and options of venturing with varied activities like hiking, boat activities and water sports, best freshwater diving, trekking and mountain biking makes it one of the favored destinations. Some of the most prominent places other than the Malawi lake, a must visit includes Liwonde National Park, the heights of Mount Mulanje, the hiking routes, the dramatic peaks and the grasslands and many more. But the images of charm and beauty is marred with the ever rising number of HIV/AIDS and related deaths, hunger, gender inequality, lack of quality health care, lack of awareness and education and unemployment has pushed the innocent people in profound poverty. We believe youth has the fire and power to bring in change. You will get to make friends with like minded co participants. Every volunteer will be working in teams with other international volunteers, who will be from different ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. Volunteers will help in tree plantation and environmental conservation, painting and drawing, may help build school in remote villages or take part in environmental education or provide an English-based educational resource for suffering illiterate people. If you have a yearning to help needy poor people, promote sustainable advancement, and conserve wild heritage, if you would like to be involved in creating a brighter future for these less privileged people and their amazing plants, animals, and ecosystems, then you must join hands with GWC. After every work camping project, GWC can arrange different trips for its volunteers who would love to work camp, travel and explore beautiful sites of Malawi. We believe in having fun and unwinding after days of hard work and philanthropy. Kenya

No other country on planet can present the visitor as much to see and do the way Kenya does. Some of the enchanting and mesmerizing tourist attractions include Gedi Ruins, Haller Park, Karen Blixen Museum, Nairobi Ntional Museum, Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Center and Fort Jesus. Lakes like Nakuru and Lake Bogoria where you will witness the calm and captivating power of lake coupled with thousands of flamingos flocking the shore is a sight to sweep you off your feet. Where else can you witness the virgin beauty of lakes and feel the power of mighty mountains, bathe in the sunshine of the Savannahs and the exciting wildlife. Despite the freshly painted like beauty it oozes, the country is struggling to cope with many social evils including Corruption, Unemployment, Alcoholism, Gender inequality, Rising number of HIV/AIDS and resulting orphans, lack of educational and healthcare facilities and the sight of extreme hunger and poverty will move you to tears. The Government is not equipped enough to manage the situation that just keeps on aggravating with each passing day.

In order to help the authority and local community deal with the issues GWC has formulated some very effective and learning projects for its volunteers. We believe youth has the fire and power to bring in the much needed change. Every volunteer will be working in teams with other international volunteers, who will be from different ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. Volunteers may help build school in remote villages or take part in environmental education or provide an English-based educational resource for the needy. If you have a yearning to help needy poor people, promote sustainable advancement, and conserve wildlife and wild lands in Kenya, if you would like to be involved in creating a brighter future for the country and their amazing plants, animals, and ecosystems, then you must join hands with GWC. After every work camping project, GWC can arrange different trips for its volunteers who would love to work camp, travel and explore beautiful sites of Kenya. Join GWC and help transform one life at a time!
